Sasuga

さすが [sasuga]; adjectival noun

  • Complimentary term. The implication is you are not surprised they did a good job, because they have a good track record. You are impressed, but expected them to do well nevertheless.

“The rumors were true, I knew you were great, but still, I’m in awe!”
“Wow, only he could have done it that way!”

  • Team of young creators based in Brno, Czechia, focused on offering companies a fresh perspective and functional design solutions. By working closely with talented photographers, videomakers and illustrators, they help businesses find their voice.

How did we came up with naming ourselves Sasuga? We love Japan since we were young — its technology, history and culture are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for us. No wonder that over the years some words and phrases got stuck in our memory. “Sasuga” is the word that fits us pretty well. It describes clients reactions to our work.

Our mission

Design is a path and mission for us. It is a religion we are fully committed to. We create identities from logomaking to the final realization of printed materials. We help companies build their voice.

We don’t want to do cheap, shallow things. We do things tailor-made. Aesthetics is important, but the main focus for us is for design to work. We try to go deep through the rabbit hole, to know the field in which the client is doing business. We create things in such a way that the resulting visual communicates core brand values.

We listen to our clients, but at the same time we try to educate them. Together with the manuals we provide them with the key knowledge of using visual identities and logos to make it easier for them to work with the new image.

OUR TEAM

David Sláma

David is not a man who stands out from the crowd. He tries to create a valuable work that speaks for him. His motivation is not in money, but in creating something that will work and make people happy. He tries to think about things differently and in depth. Quality and reliability are crucial to him. He is able to stay calm, plan the next steps and devise a suitable strategy in stressful situations.

His fondness for creating logos, visual identities, and graphic design in general has been formed since his youth. He dedicated his free time to painting and drawing, which was supplemented by street art and graffiti in his adolescence. This taught him the form and construction of fonts and the color tuning that he still uses today. He constantly improves his skills and knowledge by watching educational videos and reading literature. Besides art and design, he is also interested in business and self-education.

In addition to sitting at the computer, he enjoys spending time with friends, doing sports, playing basketball and football, but he loves skateboarding the most. He is a fan of tasty food, drinks and especially good Czech beer.

He likes honesty.
He doesn’t like arrogance.
